Contractor's consortium chosen as preferred bidder on Thistle Water's investment programme
Laing O’Rourke has been named as the preferred bidder for a £520m water deal in Scotland.
In consortium with Jacobs UK and Veolia Water, the contractor will deliver a large slice of Thistle Water’s capital investment programme from 2010.
Geoff Aitkenhead, Scottish Water’s asset management director, said: “I believe that with this decision, we have established a good footing on which to go forward and continue negotiations to ensure we can deliver the efficient investment we need for our customers.”
