Laing O’Rourke has appointed David Stewart as a senior executive with immediate effect.

Stewart joins Laing O’Rourke following a 25-year career with Leighton Holdings Limited in Australia where he stepped down as chief executive last year.

Based at the Group’s head office in Dartford, Stewart will work with Roger Robinson, chief executive of Laing O’Rourke’s Europe Hub, across major projects in the UK and Canada.

Ray O’Rourke (pictured), Laing O’Rourke chairman and group chief executive said: “David will bring his wealth of heavy infrastructure experience gained over 35 years in the construction industry and, as a member of the Group’s senior team, will accelerate our ambitions to become a world-class engineering enterprise.”
