Blue 3 consortium chosen as preferred bidder on contract to build and run four stations in Gloucestershire
A Kier consortium has been named preferred bidder for a £40m PFI deal to build and run four fire stations in Gloucestershire.
Blue 3, a consortium comprising Kier, Reliance and Calderpool Carden Croft, will design, build and maintain the four fires stations and a life skills centre for Gloucestershire County Council. Kier has a 70% stake in the consortium and Kier will do the bulding work.
Kier Group chief executive Paul Sheffield commented: “Kier Moss, our Cheltenham-based office, is looking forward to delivering these much-needed facilities to benefit the people of Gloucestershire.”
The contract will run for 25 years.
