Kier to build £98m hospital in Ascot

Kier has won a £98m contract to build a new hospital in Ascot, Berkshire, for Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust.

The scheme will occupy an 11,500m² site adjacent to the existing Heatherwood Hospital and will eventually provide services for 168,000 people per year.

The hospital will include large outpatient facilities for a range of departments, as well as a children’s clinic, 48 inpatient beds and six operating theatres.

There will also be a primary care hub, and orthodontic and physiotherapy facilities.

The job is one of over 70 Kier has won with NHS trusts in the past six years, through frameworks ProCure21+ and ProCure22.
