New contracts follow a strong set of interim results for the contractor
Kier has landed over £95m of work for its support services division since its interim results were released in February. The long-term contracts were secured in East Northamptonshire, Gosport and Waltham Forest as well as a framework contract in the East Midlands.
In East Northamptonshire, Kier were awarded a £2.1m contract to carry out waste collection, recycling and street cleaning. Two ten-year contracts worth £6.65m per annum were secured in Gosport for reactive and planned repairs to council properties.
Kier has also had its responsive repairs contract extended until March 2012 representing an additional £4m of work.
Most recently, the firm was selected as one of six contractors to join the East Midlands Property Alliance framework. The four-year framework has a potential value of between £9m and £50m per year.
Paul Sheffield, Kier Group chief executive, said: “This is excellent news for Kier. We are fortunate to enjoy a high level of repeat business from existing clients but we are always delighted to win work from new clients which brings the opportunity to demonstrate how we can deliver best value and award-winning levels of service for the public sector.”
