Contractor will deliver two schools in Cambridgeshire new town
Kier has been appointed to build phase one of a £45m education campus for Cambridgeshire county council.
The contractor will deliver a new secondary school (pictured) and a special educational needs school for 600 and 110 pupils respectively.
The secondary school will feature a theatre space, dance studios, a sports hall, gym and flood-lit football and hockey pitches.
The campus is being built in the new town of Northstowe, which is currently being developed by housebuilders including Taylor Wimpey and Barratt.
The first students are due to start in September 2019.
When complete, the campus will have capacity for 3,000 students and include a new sixth form college and primary school.
