New facilities management business will be known as Kier Facilities Services

Kier has merged two divisions to form a new facilities management business called Kier Facilities Services.

It will be headed by Colin Hale, who was appointed managing director of Kier Managed Services this year.

Kier managed Services was merged with Kier Building Services Engineers to form the new arm, which will turn over more than £120m and employ 1,200 staff at four offices in London, Cardiff, Sheffield and Basingstoke.

Hale said: “KFS is equipped to offer a one-stop solution for the whole life-cycle of clients’ property requirements, from design and installation of building services to long-term care and maintenance of their built environment."
