Scheme for 259 homes due with planners next month
Kier’s house building arm has been appointed to a new £50 million scheme in Bristol by the city council.
Kier Living will work on a 13ha site at Hengrove Park in the south of the city that has already seen the firm’s construction arm carry out work at the project building a leisure centre.
Other elements of work at the development have included a new hospital and the City of Bristol Academy.
Kier will build 259 homes, ranging from one-bedroom flats to four-bedroom houses, with around a third being allocated for affordable housing.
City mayor George Ferguson, a former RIBA president, said: “This finally unlocks Bristol’s biggest remaining opportunity for new family homes in the south of the city.”
The scheme is due to be submitted to city planners next month with work on site expected to start towards the end of this year.
