Firm’s JV signs £95m deal
A Keller joint venture has signed a £95m contract to carry out geotechnical work on the HS2 railway in the Chilterns.
The firm has teamed up with German firm Bauer Technologies, which has its UK office in Hertfordshire, for the work known as C2 and C3.
This section consists of 80km of high-speed rail infrastructure, including 15 viaducts, over 80 bridges, 7km of green tunnels and 30 million cubic metres of excavation.
Main contractor on this part of the deal is a Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial and Bam joint venture. Keller’s work is due to finish in 2024.
Earlier this year, another Keller team signed a £167m deal to carry out piling and ground improvements work on the HS2 railway in the Chilterns.
The firm’s joint venture with VSL International will carry out work for Align, a team which features VSL’s parent Bouygues, Sir Robert McAlpine and VolkerFitzpatrick.
