Plans incldue a 598 new homes and waterfront promenade
Plans from housebuilder Keepmoat for nearly 600 homes and a new primary school at Ebbsfleet Garden City have been given the green light.
Located on the banks of the Thames at Northfleet, on the site of an old chalk and cement works, the scheme will also include a new waterfront promenade and children’s park.
Of the 598 new homes, 149 will be Starter Homes,while 38 homes will be for affordable rent and 37 shared ownership.
Keepmoat’s development will be linked to the rest of Ebbsfleet Garden City via new walking and cycling routes.
Roland Grant, regional managing director of Keepmoat Homes South said: “The Northfleet site is a landmark development for Keepmoat Homes and represents the largest and most significant award in the area, since we expanded the business in to London and the South East in 2014.”
