Work includes health and safety management, M&E maintenance and environmental management
The Ministry of Justice is seeking up to 10 contractors for a facilities management framework worth between £400m and £1bn.
The government department has issued a contract notice for the four-year agreement, which would qualify firms to manage its country-wide property portfolio.
Potential work includes health and safety management, M&E maintenance and environmental management.
The publication comes two weeks after a separate contract notice was issued for a £1.8m framework for the design, construction and operation of new PFI prisons.
The Ministry of Justice plans to use the framework to run mini-competitions for procurement of five new 1,500-place jails through PFI contracts of 20-40 years.
Expressions of interest for both frameworks are due in by 17 September.
