www.energy-assessors.com claims it can provide a third of the domestic energy assessments required by Home Information Packs
Two UK residential property services companies have launched an energy assessment company to provide inspectors for Home Information Packs.
LSL Property Services and Connells Group said that www.energy-assessors.com would be able to provide 870 energy assessors for the HIPs.
From 1 June it becomes compulsory for vendors to have a HIP, which includes an energy performance certificate provided by a qualified domestic energy assessor.
www.energy-assessors.com personnel comprises 300 DEAs, 100 home inspectors, plus 470 chartered surveyors employed by LSL and Connells.
LSL chief executive officer Simon Embley said: “This combination of forces will provide enough energy assessors to service almost one third of the entire market.”
Energy-assessors.com said it would also provide training for those wishing to become energy assessors.
