Retailer unveils new format outlet in Exeter, designed by architect Glenn Howells
John Lewis has opened its first “flexible format” store in Exeter.
The format sits between the brand’s full-size department stores and smaller “at home” shops. Architect Glenn Howells completed shell and core work on the £13.4m scheme which provides 110,000ft2 of retail space in a former Debenhams store.
The development was built by main contractor Midas Group for developer Land Securities with Ramboll UK providing structural engineering services.
