Metropolitan Housing Trust has won planning permission for a scheme that will provide accommodation for north London’s Orthodox Jewish community.

The project, which has been designed by Waugh Thistleton, overlooks the River Lea in Clapton. The Leaside Road scheme, with 82 dwellings, will open up access to a section of the river, that has been off limits for 150 years.
