Rail division finance director will take over John O’Kane’s position

John O’Kane, finance director of Jarvis, has left the company to take up a similar role at engineering service firm Redhall.

He will be replaced by Graham Denton, who is currently finance director of Jarvis Rail, on 1 November.

Stuart Laird, Jarvis’ chief executive, said: “The board is also extremely pleased that Graham is stepping up to become group finance director. During his time with Jarvis, Graham has gained an excellent financial and commercial understanding of the business and has been instrumental in implementing new reporting procedures to improve financial controls.”

Last month Jarvis’ share price almost doubled to 25p after it admitted it had received a tentative approach to buy the company. Names linked to the company include Balfour Beatty, Laing O’Rourke and Babcock.
