Alasdair Marnoch is promoted after joining the company as chief financial officer.

Support services group Jarvis has appointed Alasdair Marnoch group finance director.

Marnoch first joined the company as chief financial officer and is a former officer in the Parachute Regiment. He was previously a director at Thames Water and Dunlop Slazenger, where he worked alongside Jarvis chief executive Alan Lovell. He was also a director at furniture group, Courts UK, which went into administration at the end of last year.

Jarvis chairman Steven Norris said: “In the short time that he has been with the company, Alasdair has had a significant impact on the finance function of the group and has been a major contributor to the restructuring efforts.”
