Project aims to be one of the world’s most sustainable data centres
Contractor ISG has been appointed to build a £122m data centre.
The projects for a mystery global technology firm will be built in one of the Nordic countries.
It will use free cooling technology for its vast servers and is expected to be one of the world most sustainable data centres.
ISG has previously built a data centre for HP Enterprises and is currently working on a data centre for Spanish bank Santander worth over £100m.
David Lawther, chief executive of ISG, said data centres were an increasingly important part of the contractor’s business.
He added: “This latest award demonstrates that ISG is delivering on its strategic ambition to be one of the world’s leading data centre providers with a global delivery capability.”
