Work will take place at group’s Hinxton campus
ISG has won a £7.6m contract to carry out work at a datacentre for the Wellcome Trust in Cambridgeshire.
The deal will provide additional computing power and enhanced network resilience at the foundation’s Genome campus at Hinxton.
Danny Blakeston, managing director of ISG’s Engineering Services business, said: “This is a challenging and highly complex scheme in a busy, live environment, where maintaining continuity for critical infrastructure throughout the project duration is a pre-requisite. Our international datacentre delivery credentials proved key to our appointment.”
The work is ISG’s first at the campus and is part of the company’s plan to increase focus on highly engineered tech space and areas such as life sciences.
