Six-storey rotunda project is scheduled for completion in Ferbruary 2011
ISG has been awarded a £12m design and build contract to construct a new rotunda at the entrance to Croydon College's Fairfield campus.
Designed by Nightingale Associates, the six-storey concrete and steel frame rotunda will include a full height atrium and a double-height space below ground level to house drama studios and music practice rooms.
ISG will also strip out and refurbish two existing floors of teaching accommodation within the college, installing new M&E services and re-roofing part of the structure.
The project is scheduled for completion in February 2011.
Craig Tatton, ISG's managing director, said: "ISG is making significant progress securing high quality projects within the FE sector and within the education market in general.
"The overall value of projects might have fallen over this period, however there are still numerous opportunities for high calibre main contractors with strong industry credentials."
