Support services and building hybrid Interserve has reported a 23% jump in turnover from £1.4bn to £1.7bn in the year ended 31 December 2007.
Headline profit rose 26% to £73.4m, largely thanks to the performance of its restructured facilities management division. Operating profit here rose to £27.9m from £13.9m due in part to the integration of facilities services group Maclellan.
Construction turnover increased from £571m to £760m .
Adrian Ringrose, Interserve’s chief executive, said: “Our skills are in areas that are resilient when the economy comes under pressure.”
