Project Orange says it is as interested in the inside of a building as much as the outside, and this enthusiasm, as well as the skill with which it delivers interior projects, comes across loud and clear in its submission.
The projects submitted ranged from a hotel in Cavan, Ireland, using a natural palette of materials and colours, to the Park Hotel, Mumbai, where it designed everything from the architecture to the furniture and fabrics.
The judges said the work was “eclectic but highly sophisticated and beautifully balanced”. While all the projects are very different, this magpie approach, which collects and collages experiences together to form highly original spaces, is what makes the work such “a joy to the eye”.
Also shortlisted: Bennett Interior Design, Jestico + Whiles, Mackay & Partners and Stiff Trevillion.
