A home made from old televisions is one of 12 pictures from around the world that have made it on to a final shortlist for a photography competition run by the Chartered Institute of Building.
The picture was taken in the Iranian city of Bijar and photographer Jamshid Farajvand admitted it was a “strange construction”.
Called the Art of Building, other entrants in the competition include buildings from Edinburgh, Naples and Saint Petersburg. The competition winner will be decided by a public vote with a winner for the £3,500 cash prize announced on 30 January.
