The RIBA has unveiled the winners of its regional winners, with big name practices scooping gongs across the country including Purcell, Heatherwick, Sheppard Robson, dRMM and AHMM.

Also walking away with prizes were Carmody Groarke, Feilden Fowles and BDP.

An overall Building of the Year winner will be announced for each of the English regions at a ceremony at RIBA’s 66 Portland Place headquarters on 24 May.

The RIAS Awards, which reveal Scotlands winners, will be announced next month.

All these winners will go forward for consideration for RIBA National Awardss. Winners of those accolades make up the pool from which the Stirling Prize shortlist is drawn.
