Architect reveals new designs behind a well-known Victorian facade on Rosebery Avenue in London
A new set of buildings have emerged behind a prominent Victorian facade in Gray's Inn, London. Architect Jestico + Whiles has designed new buildings and a courtyard behind the original Grays Inn Buildings facade, which was constructed in 1901.
The scheme features 104 social housing units and a basement comprising an office/studio and community centre. A new building is linked to the original facade via enclosed glazed bridges.
The facade of the building has been restored and painted pink.
