HOK is designing seven buildings in the new business district of Incheon, South Korea
HOK's New York office is designing seven buildings in a $25bn business district of Incheon in South Korea.
The mixed use towers and hotel will be part of Songdo City developed by Gale International and POSCO E&C.
Work will start on three of the mixed-use towers in May with completion expected in 2009.
The 25-storey Convention Center Hotel is already under construction and will contain 322 rooms. Nearby is the Convention Center, a 65-story, mixed-use residential and office tower; the Northeast Asia Trade Tower; and a retail mall.
Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates masterplanned Songdo City, while Arup carried out structural and curtain wall design. Dong-Il Architects acted as the Korean Associate Architect for residential work on the towers; and Baum Architects were the associate architects for the first hotel
