Office development in Kent claims to be 80% more energy efficient than required by current Building Regulations
This is the Beechwood Park office development in Dover, which is England’s first office built to Passivhaus standards and is claimed to be 80% more efficient than a conventional design built to current Building Regulations.
It has been developed by Van Developments for WCR Property. The architect in the UK is Dudley Marsh Architects, but the building design also had input from Grießbach and Grießbach in Frieberg - the epicentre of Passivhaus expertise.
Passivhaus features include triple glazed windows and an external wall insulation system from Sto that help it achieve airtightness seven times better than a regulations standard building.
