Joint chief executive will take sole charge from 1 May
Engineering consultant Scott Wilson has announced that Hugh Blackwood will become the group's sole chief executive on 1 May.
Blackwood will take the solo role when the other joint chief executive, Ron Wall, steps down from the post.
In its interim management statement the company said that the restructuring “further strengthens the executive management team as it plans, with confidence, for the next phase of the group's development”.
The company also stated that it was confident that the yearly results would be in line with expectations. Scott Wilson's full-year results will be announced on 7 May.
Strong demand in the firm's core markets in the UK and internationally was said to promise a strong performance.
It was also stated that Scott Wilson was looking at “value-enhancing acquisitions”.
