Camberwell scheme will also include industrial space
HTA Design has been given the green light for a 109-home mixed-use scheme at Camberwell in south London.
Southwark council voted in favour of the scheme being developed by local firm Joseph Homes last week.
Located at Burgess Park on land currently occupied by industrial units, the development will consist of three blocks ranging in height from six to 11 storeys.
It will also contain 1,351sq m of commercial space, replacing the existing industrial space on the site.
In line with GLA guidance, 35% of the homes will be affordable with 92 being dual aspect.
Originally designed to house 128 homes and more commercial space, the scheme has been scaled back and its height lowered following feedback from the council.
