Arcadis has won a five year contract with HSBC on its global capital expenditure program
HSBC has appointed Arcadis as programme manager on its global capital expenditure program.
The five year contract will see the firm assume responsibility for HSBC’s 50 million sq ft property portfolio, for the oversight, assurance, planning and control of capital projects. HSBC said the aim of the programme is to improve performance, reduce cost, control risk, as well as reduce the bank’s environmental impact.
David Sparrow, global director of Arcadis’ multinational client programs said: “Our ambition is to help HSBC transform its capital expenditure delivery in order to create sustainable competitive advantage for its business.
“Our teams will deliver the consistency and assurance of outcome that HSBC can rely on to enable it to succeed.”
The firm will also provide project management, cost management, health & safety, sustainability and risk management for capital projects in the Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific regions.
Earlier this year Lloyds Banking Group also appointed Arcadis to run its design and construction function.
