Initiative taking place later this month
HS2 has said registration is now open for its next meet the contractor event which will take place online later this month.
As part of the initiative, 1,100, 15 minute one-to-one meetings will be available for potential suppliers to discuss upcoming contract opportunities with the companies awarding them.
The event, which will take place between 23 and 26 November, is designed to get suppliers up to speed with the project and how to get involved.
The four-day event will begin with three days of webinar sessions including updates on the HS2 programme, presentations by HS2 contractors and webinars showcasing the work taking place across the project.
The final day will offer potential contractors the opportunity to find out how to get involved via the one-to-one meetings with HS2’s civils contractors and the firms building the new London stations at Old Oak Common and Euston.
HS2 chief executive Mark Thurston said: “This year’s event will be the biggest ever and we would like to see businesses from across the UK register for the opportunity to talk with our contractors. Experience from previous years shows that this helps put them in the best position to be a part of building [the] railway.”
Packages available include temporary M&E works, drainage and environmental works as well as earthworks, site services and plant and tool hire.
Firms can register their interest here.
