Ventilation company Vortice has launched a new heat recovery system specifically developed with the Code for Sustainable Homes in mind.
Prometeo is designed for the housing market to provide air extract from wet rooms and to recover the heat for use elsewhere in the home. The unit incorporates DC motors, automatic frost protection, summer bypass setting and is controlled via a CO2 sensor.
The entire lifecycle of the product has been taken into consideration in its design. It uses non-soldered joints where possible and any part of the system subject to heavy wear can be replaced individually, rather than having to replace the entire unit. Prometeo will be appendix Q eligible under the Code for Sustainable Homes meaning that it has been evaluated for inclusion in the SAP calculation.
