The headquarters of the Salvation Army in central London, designed by Sheppard Robson, has been completed.
The Abstract Securities development involved replacing the original building with one a third of the size at almost no cost to the charity. The remaining two-thirds of the site, at 101 Queen Victoria Street, will be leased. Carpenter Lowings designed a chapel that is part of the revamp. Structural engineer on the scheme was Arup.
