Richard Gammon recruited as new director of aviation and transportation
HOK has appointed Richard Gammon as a director of aviation and transportation as it ramps up its efforts to win more work in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.
The US architectural firm has assigned Gammon to its global aviation and transportation leadership team based in London. Gammon will also sit on the firm’s London board of directors. He takes up his new role in July with a brief to drive expansion and further develop HOK’s expertise in the sector.
Commenting on his appointment Gammon said: “I am delighted to be joining HOK in such a significant role and, in particular, to be joining such a talented and innovative team.
“I am convinced that the evolution of transport facilities, especially airports, is on the verge of a dramatic shift in approach and I believe that HOK is very well placed to lead the way and make a positive contribution to this very exciting time.”
HOK also announced the promotion of Nicola Morton to sector leader of aviation – and the promotion of Anthony Leslie to sector leader of transportation.
Morton will focus on continued expansion of HOK’s influence across existing and new aviation projects in Europe – while Leslie will concentrate on transportation initiatives and targeting of new work.
