Consultant is project manager on new $100m Al Anbar Olympic Stadium in Al Anbar, Iraq
Hill International has won a contract to provide project management services for the new $100m (£65m) Al Anbar Olympic Stadium in Al Anbar, Iraq. The two-year contract, for client the Iraqi Ministry of Youth and Sports, has an estimated value to Hill of around $ 3.3m (£2.1m).
The firm’s services will include design review, site supervision, resident engineering, project management and quality control.
Hill has also announced that it has received three contracts to support the capital improvement programme at the Port of Long Beach in Long Beach, California.
Two of the contracts will provide on-call professional construction management support services and on-call cost estimating services. The third, a subcontract for client Simplus Management Corporation, is to provide construction management services in support of the Port’s $94m (£61m) shore-to-ship power retrofit programme. The three contracts have an estimated value to Hill of approximately $2.8m (£1.8m).
Finally, the international consultant has received a contract from the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund S.A. to provide specialised real estate advisory services for the privatisation of Hellinikon S.A. The public company owns the development rights of the old Athens International Airport site at Hellinikon and is in the process of acquiring development rights on adjacent coastal parcels of land.
The privatisation includes the redevelopment of the site into a mixed-use landmark location of national importance and international appeal.
