Hill employee promoted to manage Eastern Europe and the CIS Countries
Peter Sockett has been promoted to vice president and managing director of Eastern Europe and the CIS Countries.
He has been with Hill since 2003 and has been a vital part of the projects group growth in Europe, with current projects in Azerbaijan, Croatia, Georgia, Latvia, Romania, Serbia, and Turkey.
Sockett has over 40 years of experience initially in the design and construction of roads, highways, bridges, airports, infrastructure, town master planning and marine facilities and latterly in project and construction management, tender and contract preparation and training.
In addition to the European countries he has undertaken projects in Bahrain, Iraq, the Gambia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sultanate of Oman, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom.
He is highly experienced in all facets of design, construction and project management of infrastructure and building projects and has also been responsible for prequalification initiatives, major tendering, contract awards and contract documents and the taking-over and finalization of contracts, including claim resolution.
