Richard Gregory criticises the absence of any senior construction industry figures on the new Business Council for Britain
The new Business Council for Britain has been asked to engage with the construction industry by one of the UK’s leading construction services organisations, HBG UK.
In a letter to John Hutton, the new Secretary of State at the new Department of Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform, HBG’s chief executive Richard Gregory criticised the lack of a senior figure from the construction industry being included in the Business Council.
Gregory wrote: “While the Council is a welcome development, many in the construction industry will feel disappointed by the absence of a senior figure from our sector among the Council’s membership. I hope that you will encourage the Council to develop mechanisms for participation by all sectors of the economy.”
