Skyscraper will face the almost completed Heron Tower
Heron International has secured planning permission to build a hotel, residential and retail development in the City of London.
The 43-storey skyscraper will face the existing Heron Tower and has been designed by the same architects, Fred Pilbrow and Lee Polisano of PLP Architecture (previously partners of KPF’s London office).
The project is expected to cost over £500m. Four Seasons will run the hotel and residential part of the complex.
Gerald Ronson, chief executive of Heron International, said: “With Heron Tower nearing completion and construction now well underway at The Heron, our residential development at the Barbican, this planning consent for the Four Seasons Hotel and Residences London at Heron Plaza will enable us to continue our transformation of the City of London, providing much needed, unparalleled hotel and residential facilities which reflect London’s status as the financial capital of the world.”
