Ancon has launched a wall tie for use in timber-frame construction called TIM6

The company says it is suitable for fixing masonry cladding to timber frames up to four storeys high. The tie is made in four standard lengths to suit cavities from 50mm to 150mm.
Ancon says that the helical tie can be hammered through insulation without compressing the material and that the thermal bridging is minimal across the cavity because the cross-sectional area of the tie is small.
