Images released of Bombay Sapphire’s new distillery and visitor centre
A new visitor centre in Hampshire by Heatherwick Studio is set to open next week.
The scheme at Laverstoke Mill will open on October 1 and has been commissioned by gin brand Bombay Sapphire.
The work also includes building a new distillery with the renovation including adding two glass houses that will be used to grow the 10 ingredients – juniper, lemon peel, grains of paradise, coriander, cubeb berries, orris root, almonds, cassia bark, liquorice, angelica – used in the making of Bombay Sapphire.
Earlier this summer, Heatherwick Studio announced it would be designing the latest Maggie’s Centre.
The £5 million cancer care centre will open at St James’s University Hospital, Leeds, in 2016.
Next month Heatherwick’s plans for a £150 million garden bridge across the river Thames in London are due to be considered by planners at Lambeth council.
