Marks & Spencer commits to store in Eastgate development, the largest outside London
Developers Hammerson and Town Centre Securities have signed up Marks & Spencer to join retailer John Lewis as anchor tenants for an £800m regeneration scheme in Leeds.
Marks & Spencer has committed to create an 18,250m2 store, one of it’s largest outside London, in the Eastgate development.
According to Hammerson the store will contain a complete range of womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, as well as a full home offering, food hall with bakery and restaurant.
Hammerson said today construction of the 140,000m2 scheme will begin next year, with completion scheduled for 2012.
