The report will be presented to a technical meeting organised by EEFIT, with the findings likely to include information on damage to structures.
During his visit to Iran, Dr Manafpour met members of the International Institute of Earthquake Engineering and Seismology and representatives from Iran's ministry of housing and urban development.
Dr Manafpour said: "Earthquake field investigation is essential for documenting the effects, learning lessons and enhancing knowledge in dealing with future events."
He said he hoped the findings would benefit the local and global community and help to plan for the future.
