Architect’s first retail project for 25 years opens
Architect Grimshaw has completed its first retail-centric project in 25 years, after the opening of Highport Shopping Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Grimshaw – best known for numerous transport and aviation projects – designed the 30,000 sq metre mall in the city’s south-west Maribyrnong suburb.
It is the practice’s first completed retail-centric project since the opening of its Sainsbury’s superstore in Camden, north London in 1988.
