This residential scheme by architect Jestico + Whiles will be built on the site of a car park in Barking, east London.

The £10m project, for housing association East Thames, has 96 units, mostly for social housing. The six storey building has a green roof and solar

thermal panels to generate 10% of the energy used. Contractor Morrison will start on site in February and should complete by mid-2007. QS and project manager is Robert Lombardelli Partnership.
