Developer Centros Miller goes ahead with Northern Quarter project after government confirms CPO
Centros Miller will press ahead with its £500m development in Portsmouth following government confirmation of the compulsory purchase order (CPO).
The mixed-use Northern Quarter development will include three new open shopping streets plus 200 apartments and more than 2000 parking spaces.
John Lewis and Marks and Spencer stores will anchor the scheme.
John Marsh, Centros Miller development director, said: “This decision paves the way for the regeneration of the city centre. Our project team can now begin the lead up to the start of construction of the main development during next year.”
