Planning permission for a revamped Great Ormond Street hospital, designed by Llewelyn Davies Yeang, has been given the go-ahead.
The £300m centre includes a clinical building and a refurbished cardiac wing. They will include wards, operating theatres, imaging facilities, playrooms, offices and a restaurant. The project aims to reduce carbon emissions by 20%. Construction will start in October and is set to finish in 2011.
