Government allocates £1.4bn for school improvements

Money to be split across different establishments

The government has allocated £1.4bn on improving and maintaining schools and their facilities in the 2019-20 financial year.

A fund for upgrades has been allocated £433m and will cover more than 1,400 projects across 1,200 small and stand-alone academy trusts and sixth-form colleges.
