Firm wants to build 2,000 homes a year by June 2022
MJ Gleeson said the number of homes it sold in the first half of its financial year was up more than 17% for the same period in 2019.
In a trading update, the housebuilder, which is set it unveil its interim results for the six months to December 2020 on 11 February, said it had sold 951 homes during the period – up from the previous first half total of 811.
It said ongoing demand for low-cost homes meant that it would “be at least in line with expectations”.
Gleeson said by the end of June, it would be building on around 80 sites and selling from at least 65. It added that it wants to build 2,000 units in the year to June 2022.
