Company secretary Edwin Lawrie is appointed as troubled firm prepares to refocus business
Contractor MJ Gleeson has appointed company secretary Edwin Lawrie as an interim executive director as the troubled prepares to refocus its business.
Lawrie, who joined the company in 1999, will remain as company secretary. He joined Gleeson from Higgs & Hill (now HGB Construction) where he was assistant group secretary.
In July, chief executive Terry Massingham resigned from the board with immediate effect with Paul Wallwork acting as interim CEO.
At the time the firm revealed it would continue to scale down its activities outside the housing regeneration sector, which will be the focus of the business going forward. The sale of its engineering business is also anticipated.
