Consultant opts for an eco-party with rickshaws, bio-fuel and ethical food
Consultant Gleeds has opted for an eco-friendly Christmas party for its 300 staff.
Over 40 pedal-powered rickshaws will transport staff to the event at the Canal Museum in Kings Cross, London to save on fuel and pollution.
The party will feature ethically sourced food and drink by party organiser Partiesforpurposes, as well as a variety of themes which highlight sustainable issues.
Richard Steer, senior partner at Gleeds, said: “This is more than just a gimmick for us, and since we decided to run the whole party on bio-fuel to save on energy it seemed natural that we would employ the rickshaws and their pedal power to transport everyone the mile or so to the venue.
“If nothing else we are harnessing Christmas to focus our colleague’s attention on the environment as well as having fun.”
