Latest base takes the consultant’s total number of US outlets to eight
Gleeds has opened its eighth office in the US with the addition of a base in Austin, Texas as the consultant moves forward with its global expansion plans.
The firm already has offices spanning the width of the US in Atlanta, Charlotte, Los Angeles, Chicago, Nashville, New York and San Francisco.
Gleeds said the new location, headed up by directors Ruben Rodriguez and Chris Williams, would enable it to provide a platform from which to support its energy clients in the region and build on its coverage for its national and international clients in the hospitality, commercial, mixed-use, higher education and industrial sectors.
The firm added the Austin-located team had already been appointed to undertake a number of dispute advisory contracts, as well as several hospitality schemes and a large retail development.
Chris Soffe, chief executive of Gleeds Americas, said: “The $1.6tn (£1.2tn) economy in Texas is one of the strongest in the US, second only to California, so it was a natural step for us to extend our offering here.
Gleeds chairman Richard Steer (pictured) added: “Over 100 of the country’s top companies call Texas home and we’ve built fantastic relationships with many of them, so we’re confident that this will be a successful move for Gleeds.”
Earlier this month, Gleeds expanded its operations in India with the opening of a fifth office in the country.
